Week two

Before I lose track of this week, because its going to be a busy one, I thought I would pop in and play show and tell with week twos challenge and layouts I completed..

So for Queen of Scraps week two, we were given this template and told to make it our own..

There are some amazing layouts from it I can tell you.

So my daughter asked me if I could do something with this photo for her.

Here is what I came up with, they are both happy with it.

And I am as well, I don’t normally use many patterned papers on one layout, so I was really pleased

that I pulled it all together nicely..

So mostly I have just been scrapping my daughters pictures from her USA trip, and because when they are all done its going to be turned into a photo book, I really needed to make a front cover.

And *happy dance* I got  gallery standout #3 with this one.

I also decided that I would make a cover type page to have the photos and the places she went in

different sections.. So being the baseball freak she is, there was no way she could go over there

without visiting Coopers Town Baseball Hall of Fame.

We had to choose a book cover and turn it into a layout..

They helped us out by sending us to The book cover archive, you should check it out

if you want some inspiration and some of the layouts already done, OMG beautiful..

I wish I had of picked a different one now, but I got a picture I have had waiting to be scrapped since 2007 done lol..  I shall certainly be going back to find some more to give me some inspiration..

Queen of Scraps Week one layouts.

I had hoped to have at least 10 layouts created by now, but my granddaughter on one of her visits, made a disc full of photo;s totally disappear..
So I am waiting for my eldest to get me a new disc with them..
But I only missed my goal by one layout :)
For our very first challenge we were given a tutorial on how to turn a photo into a sketch and also a link to this befunky.com in case the software some ladies were using wasn’t going to allow them to do this..
By the way, befunky is heaps of fun.

I cant wait till I get my prize another kit from KimB woo hoo.. So my entry..

Update

So its been awhile since I blogged anything.. hehe I am such a bad blogger these days..

Well for those who don’t know, I have decided to take a break from designing, decided to see how I feel about the whole thing in 12 months time..

I also no longer CT for anyone either, again I want to do my own thing for 12 months and hopefully catch up on all those pictures and memories that need to be created and printed..

I did however recently get my Twilight Angel page turned into a wall canvas, I am so totally stoked on how it turned out..

At the moment it’s all safely packed waiting for me to find my new home, that’s another biggie happening this year..

Its time to move, still haven’t decided on moving further away or not yet however.. But I have several options I am considering and trying to save as well..

I did however sign up to take part in the Queen of Scraps Challenge over at Scrap Matters..

I was looking through last years gallery, and OMG one lady scrapped 200 layouts in one month… What !!!!

I don’t see that happening with me, but I do hope this will push me along faster in getting some things done..

Like my daughters USA holiday that she has been very patiently waiting for me to scrap lol…

Also been dabbling in the traditional again, but I need to restock myself with some things again to get right back into it…

So for the direction of this blog, well at this point I don’t feel like creating freebies, so until I decide to try my hand at designing kits again, I doubt there will be any freebies floating around..

But I still cannot resist the urge to find things lol.. So I might share some of those along with my layouts I am creating here..

Yeah we had this massive storm after days and days of heat wave weather, and the old water tank couldn’t handle

the pressure and popped a leak.. But Buddha was real happy :) all the dust and dirt got washed off and he looked brand new again.. The yard and road turned into a pool, but it was so good after all that heat..

And we certainly can use the rain..

I also got busy and rearranged my room and of course I just had to scrap that lol..
